Frank Wright is our resident father-figure. He’s a retired Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent.
He’s also got his Juris Doctor from University of Missouri – Columbia.
Just because he’s a retired G-man and law school grad, don’t think he’s a dull stick-in-the-mud. Far from it. Frank’s the guy everyone remembers from our classes – in a good way, of course. We’re stealing all of his good lines though, one at a time.
Back around the time of the first moon landing, Frank worked for Quincy PD. He worked there for eight years in patrol and served as a department training officer and Assistant to Chief before migrating to the FBI as a Special Agent / Attorney for the Bureau. Mr. Wright’s specialty, among many, was as an instructor within the FBI as a General Police & Legal Instructor.
During his time as a G-man, he was also a SWAT team member, and he worked Infrastructure Protection, Counter-Terrorism, Foreign Counter-Intelligence (he speaks Russian), Applicant Coordinator (Did we mention he trained agents in how to discern deception?), Divisional Security Officer, National Academy Coordinator, Profiling Coordinator for National Center for Analysis / Violent Crime, and, oh yeah, a firearms Instructor, among others.
Today, he’s an NRA-certified Basic Pistol instructor, teaching defensive firearm skills as he’s done for decades now (since about the time they killed the last Mastodon in these parts).
In short, he’s got 40+ years of firearms training under his belt. Most of it was teaching cops, as well as federal law enforcement, including the elites in the FBI. Today he teaches “normal people”.
Frank presents legal lectures like none we’ve ever seen before. We believe he’s even better than Massad Ayoob, who many folks consider the best firearm / legal instructor in the nation. He’s certainly funnier than Ayoob.
